From Smart Homes to Smart Care - July 4-6, 2005

Submission

For ICOST 2005 we are soliciting high quality technical papers that describe original, completed or on-going, unpublished research. Submissions should report concrete, significant, and transferable results that help advance the state of the art in smart homes and health telematics. All papers will be peer-reviewed by members of the ICOST 2005 program scientific committee and by expert reviewers of the technical program committee coming from relevant research communities. ICOST 2005 requires that submissions have not been published previously and that papers submitted are not under simultaneous review for any other conference, journal or other publication.

All paper submissions will be handled electronically by the CYBER CHAIR system. Please go to the cyberchair page to submit your paper. Note that submission is a two stage process - you will need to register your paper first and then submit the final manuscript (extended abstract). Authors without a cyberchair user name will be required to register with the system using the same link as above (do NOT put your extented abstract in this registration form). The site will close for submissions at 23:59 Eastern time (Canada and US) on February 7th, 2004.

Submissions in Adobe PDF format are preferred. Microsoft .doc format will also be accepted. We solicit extended abstracts of 2 to 4 pages (excluding cover page) are expected. A cover page providing information on authors affiliations, contact information, topics, keywords, and a 200 words abstract.

We solicit papers to 18 pages but explicitly welcome shorter papers of up to 10 pages for presentation of pointed results. All paper submissions will be treated as full papers but it is important that their length is appropriate for their content.

Paper submissions have to be anonymized to facilitate double blind review. Authors should take care throughout their paper that their and their institution's identity is not revealed. However relevant references to an author's previous research should not be suppressed as they may be required for reviewers to understand and evaluate the paper's contribution

You can now complete step one and get your password to submit your extended abstract.
