Conference registration and accommodations

For accounting reasons, the registration process is divided in two separated parts:
  1. Registration to the conference which is paid to the University of Sherbrooke
  2. Registration for accommodations (meeting package) which is paid to Hotel Chéribourg

The conference hotel

The conference hotel offers many interesting recreational installations. The following activities are free: tennis, volleyball and badminton, sauna, whirlpools and fitness room, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, cycling trails and walking pathways, pétanque and horseshoe pitch.
Among paying activities, let’s mention massages, balneotherapy and golf courses located at a walking distance from the hotel.

Venue

Montreal Pierre-Elliot Trudeau Airport is the nearest airport from conference location. The conference location is near the city of Magog, which is located at about 1 hour drive from Montreal.

Transportation

The ICOST 2005 organizing committee made an agreement with the Voyages Escapade 2000 travel agency to offer a shuttle from the Trudeau airport (Dorval) to the Cheribourg Hotel in Magog. On your arrival, the agency shuttle will pick you at the airport and will bring you to the hotel. For your return to the airport, the shuttle will pick you at the hotel and will bring you back to the airport. The cost of the shuttle service back and forth is 175.00 CAN $ (taxes not included).
If you buy your flight ticket from Voyages Escapade 2000, the shuttle service will be free.

Activities and tourism

Before, during and after the conference, there are a lot of tourism activities. Let’s mention free classical music concerts, Abbaye Saint-Benoît, Mont-Orford National Park, etc.
